Processing fish takes place at low temperatures always with abundant water.

Floors, therefore, get very slippery, especially in the dissecting, gutting and washing where fish is preparated for freezing or steaming. After that, areas in the stage prior it is packed to being preserved in oil, in brine or into portions for large scale retailers. 

The risk of slips is even greater in the shellfish centrifuge and washing areas. 

Salt and organic residue are very aggressive and there is a potential risk of  bacteria proliferation/contamination by handling fish. 

Do not forget that chemical products for washing and sanitizing these areas are widely used, so it must be projected an effective drainage system in order to keep the fluids moving quickly through the system.
