An irreproachable hygiene and the constant disinfection of the premises are the first preventive tasks to be carried out, together with the application of bacterium-resistant coatings that meet the hygiene standards in force for cleaning. Also an efficient drainage system is essential to eliminate liquids and small organic residue. 

The flooring system must  resist the aggression of organic acids and chemical detergents, termal shock (cold storage rooms/hot washing water), heavy loads, traffic and also guarantee an effective anti-slip surface.
